NAZ Today’s story on the closure of Grand Canyon Café, and interviews with previous and current owners, and loyal customers.
NAZ Today covers the story on the closure of the route 66
restaurant, Grand Canyon Café. Located in downtown of Flagstaff, Grand Canyon
Café is a popular restaurant, which first opened its doors in 1940. The route
66 restaurant has been known for its tradition American and Chinese Dishes. The
Wong family has been serving at Grand Canyon Café for over 70 years, and
through a recent sale, they will no longer be the owners of the restaurant.
Many loyal customers stopped by to have their last meals, as well as to say
their goodbyes. The route 66 restaurant will re-open after slight renovations
done by the new owners later this year.
